I’m married and have three children ages 10, 4, and 6mo. I was an interim pastor for three years at Living Water Community Church in Chicago, which is a part of MC USA in the Illinois Mennonite Conference.

Mark Roeschley

Mark serves on the Student Mutual Aid Program committee at Mennonite Church of Normal and volunteers as usher and greeter.
He is married to Jane Thorley Roeschley, and they have 3 adult children and one grandchild.

Christine Guth

This year I am chair of the Mission and Service Commission at 8th Street Mennonite Church and serve on the church board. I served earlier terms on the board and commission as well. Before retiring I worked for Anabaptist Disabilities Network as Program Director. I currently volunteer with environmental restoration efforts, including at Camp
Friedenswald. I am also a volunteer gardener for Faith House and Hope House, ministries of Faith Mennonite Church.
During the pandemic I sewed and gave away thousands of masks. My husband is Bob Guth and we have two grown children

Sarah Werner

Sarah Werner is a teacher, editor, and writer living in Columbus, Ohio. She teaches theology and
environmental justice courses at Pathways, an online seminary program operated by the United Church of
Christ. She is currently the senior book reviews editor for the Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and
Culture. She is a worship leader and youth sponsor at Columbus Mennonite Church, and is licensed for
education ministry in MCUSA through CDC. She earned her PhD from the University of Florida in 2015,
specializing in Religion and Ecology. Her dissertation focused on Mennonite environmental initiatives in the
US and Canada. She earned a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in
2010. She writes poetry, essays, and fiction about environmental change. In her free time she enjoys hiking
and nature photography.

David Voth

Occupation: Executive Director, Crime Victim Services
David helps lead worship services and is on the Pastor Personnel Relations Committee at Grace Mennonite. He graduated from Bluffton University in Social Work and from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Peace Studies. His vocation has been assisting crime victims recover and in advocating for legislation and quality services for them. David’s wife Laura is enjoying retirement after a 37 year career at Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio in Bluffton. Their children and grandchildren live in Harrisonburg, Virginia and Goshen, Indiana.

I love all things language and I love running in Milwaukee and on Wisconsin’s amazing Ice Age Trail. Our family has been a part of CDC since grad school days at Columbus Mennonite. Never thought we’d be part of starting a church, but here we are now and Milwaukee Mennonite is 18 years old! Lori teaches middle school English in Milwaukee and our children are teaching (Lydia in Goshen), nursing (Sarah in South Bend), and acting (Simon in Chicago).
